It is my understanding that the original Danish Flower Thread was produced
by the Danish Handcraft Guild. They didn't copyright the name "Danish Flower
Thread," and so other companies (DMC) started producing a similar product by
the same name. The original thread is still available, in many colors.

The only shop I know of that sells it is Threadneedle Street, in Issaquah,
WA (a short 20-minute ride from my home!). This shop is primarily geared to
needlework, but the owner, Denise Davis, has a plethora of fibers, and it is
a delight to visit there. Happily, Denise ships all over the world.

Here's the web site and how to find this thread:

<www.threadneedlestreet.com>
Click on "threads"
Then, along the left side, click on "Flower Thread, Danish"

Enjoy!
