i'm doing a really small pattern from a barbara underwood bedfordshire pattern book and the double picots are not coming out very nice. they tell you to twist the thread 3 times, take a needle and spin it around the far right thread, then wrap it around once with the thread to the left of the last thread, pull the pin inward to tighten it, then twist it 2 more times. once you do this, it says to do a half stitch and then do the same thing for the left side using the far left stitch. they seem to pull out easier than the other way i read to do make them. the other way is just to twist the thread 10 times, then do a half stitch, and do the same to the other side.
i don't think it should matter which way to do it, but if there is an official way to make picots, then i would like to know. in the classes do you make it like barbara underwood or like the other picot that is twisted 10 times? from susan in tennessee,u.s.a. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
