Hands up, who has been searching through their files... <waves> I found it, says Bev.
At least, I found what I thought Lorri meant, and her description reminded me of what I had seen recently from my files:- It is 'Gathered Flower' by Gil Dye, in Lace 87, pg. 31. There are 5 scallops per length. She also described a derivation of the pricking for a blind lacemaker, by cutting out a cardboard template of the scallops with notches along the edges so the lacemaker could know to place the edge pins by feel. She used thicker thread ( pearl 5 ) and the flowers were sold as brooches. Some of the article is missing, but apparently the flowers were made to raise funds for charity. This could be the source of the pattern, or there is a synchronous 'other' source :) On 1/10/06, Barb ETx <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I will jump in here too...'cause I have seen it...and in my stuff.. -- bye for now Bev in Sooke BC (on Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada) Cdn. floral bobbins www.woodhavenbobbins.com - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
