Hi in Lacingland,
One of the future projects I would like to do is the Thistle Bookmark
designed by Jean Leader. I do have the all the patterns, but the picture of the
actual bookmark is not too clear. I want to make this bookmark using colored
threads. I thought it would help me to succeed in this if I have a actual good
size file picture of the bookmark made by maybe one of you. I thought if I had
an actual picture that I could print up of the bookmark it might help me in
trying to figure out how to go about accomplishing this. I could have sworn
that I saw this same bookmark done in color once..but couldn't remember where.
I had asked this list before if anybody knew of this bookmark done in color.
Nobody seemed to know...so now I am asking for a good size picture of it in
white. I hope somebody out there can help me with that.
I have been more productive lately in making Milanese Lace. I have done
Louise Colgan's butterfly and heart pattern now...as well as the hummingbird
pattern that was with my DVD. I have found that Louise's DVD to be a great
resource for my Milanese challenges. I have found that now that I know more of
what I am suppose to be doing that I love Milanese Lace.
But fellow lacers....the piece of lace that finally burnt me ( you know
where) and made me itch to learn how to do bobbinlace was this bookmark which I
saw in a lace display. Being that I had just gotten home from the UK and
Ireland...I was attracted to the bookmark. I figure since it was the piece of
lace that really got me into bobbinlace making that I should make it....I just
want to be different and make it in color threads instead of white....call it
an experiment....and a real challenge...( which..HEY...I love challenges. I
know this is Bedfordshire Lace...and I have made Bedfordshire lace before...and
I think I can remember all the quirks of the lace.
Anyhow....I am hoping someone on this list can help me out.
After the bookmark...I have a couple other projects I would love to
do...one is Janice Blairs's Swan Mask, and another one is Tamara's Peace
Dove...both being Milanese.
So what is everybody else up to?
  Sherry
