I recently acquired a copy of the book Kant uit Vlaanderen en 's Gravenmoer and an intrigued by the notation with each pattern. An example, translated for me by a Dutch friend, is as follows:
Aantal paren: 59 Number pairs Aantal dike draden: 5 Number of thick threads Aantal spelden: 68 Number of pins I don't understand the "Number of pins line". Can anybody offer an explanation?
