Am I defending the blog? I guess I am to a degree, it is a wonderful
collection of lace photos, presented clearly with what looks like a
lot of thought having gone into showing the various types. No one
person that I know could put together a collection of their own
photos/work such as this and therefore it is of interest for that
alone. I know that using someone else's photos without permission is
breaching copyright - I am not defending that. I just feel that it
would be a shame to lose this site if it could be helped.
Perhaps a nicely worded (in Finish if possible) email complementing
the blogger on their dedication to lace and suggesting that an email
requesting permission to use others photos is correct behaviour. The
blog being in Flemish would open out lace introduction to those of
whom Flemish is their language?.
Then again, I can say all this because none of my photos have been
used without my permission (that I know of) - in all honesty I may
not be nearly so forgiving otherwise.
