It is strange sometimes how coincidences run through our lives.

Because I read a comment on a food blogger's web-site about
a novel concerning 4 generations of women from a Polish-American
family, I was happy to find a copy of Leslie Pietrzyk's "Pears on a
Willow Tree" in the Tartu University Library. :-)

What a surprise to find in the 5th chapter called "Wedding Day" several
references to bobbin lace. One sentence I liked was:
"The bobbins clattered gently, sounding like people talking in another room."
Has anyone else read this book?

And another strange coincidence was that if I hadn't asked other lacemakers
in Tartu to make luggage tags for the UK Lace Guild census, Pat Matthews
wouldn't have come to Estonia & written a report which is in the Lace 126.
