I agree with Jo that the Dutch 16e eeuw is the same as the English 16th,
i.e. 1501 -1599/1600 (last date is debatable, seeing as we celebrated
the start of the new milennium in 2000).
The Dutch Golden Age covers most of the 1600's.
A note for Jo: always thought you were an English expat in the
Netherlands. Foutje!
