We're pretty lucky, I suppose, to live in this area because our newspaper, which has a large circulation in the southwestern part of Virginia, publishes every week this notice in the Happenings section: "Blue Ridge Lace Guild, contact Betty Ann Rice, 540-563-9034 [EMAIL PROTECTED]"
As a result, I get invitations to demonstrate, queries about type of lace we make, and sometimes annoying phone calls which don't really bother me. That means someone read the notice! I recently was contacted by a young woman who read the notice and wants to start learning bobbin lace this fall. She is willing to travel about 100 miles round trip to learn. Betty Ann in Roanoke, Virginia USA whose life is an open book and if anyone wants to steal my idenity, have at it!
