Hi Clay and everyone
(and welcome back Clay!)

It is a fascinating picture. They seem to be using Swedish-style bobbins?
They are posing, the room appears bare except for the table and chairs and
people. Perhaps it is a school picture?

The seller writes 'quilting bee style' - it is more like 'lace meeting
style' LOL (the lace meetings I attend are all around someone's kitchen or
dining room table)
Thankyou for sharing it.

I came across a fascinating picture on eBay just now! There is not much
> information about it, but it shows a group of "American Prairie
> Women", gathered around a table "quilting bee style", and all making
> lace!! Since there is little in the way of history of lacemaking in the US,
> I thought everyone would like to see it. Go to eBay, and enter this item
