This depends on the banking system. Service fees for foreign cheques, or
international money orders drawn on your country's bank, are including in
some account services where I bank. I often order lace supplies from
overseas and apart from the postage, it is like buying over the counter here
- and I would have to spend money on transport to go to that counter anyway
(if there was one) ;)

However, it is good advice to overseas buyers of your book to buy within
their country if there would be a source.

I don't mean to instigate a discussion of the pro's and cons of paypal, but
- lace content: With thanks to Jane Partridge who mentioned the exhibit at
Charnwood Museum,in the UK I was able to purchase their exhibit catalogue. I
paid by Paypal and included a small donation to the museum; it was more
convenient than having to find a day to drive to the bank to buy a money
order (and they didn't take Visa, which I didn't want to use anyway) the
book was delivered by post within a week of my paying for it. Everyone was
happy ;)

And I'm looking forward to Edition 4 of Threads for Lace :)
