Well, actually I used the Czech no-name linen - the thicker one -
which is the same as Moravia. For the enlargement, I just followed
the instructions. If I did it again, I'd use a thinner linen and not
enlarge the pattern, just because I think a slightly smaller star
would look better on my tree.
OK, why CTCT, p, CTCT and not just CTCT? Isn't it harder to fold
accross the line of pinholes than having a "ridge" of CTCT on top
of the fold?
No reason. It worked and I like the effect of the row of pinholes
along the folds and it was easy to fold. Try it either way and see
which you prefer.
When you've finished making the lace, have folded it and have
attached the beginning to the end, you'll also have to tack the inner
points together so that the star will stay open and flat.
