The version I know is the one Malvary stated in her email, it also has "half a
pound of tuppenny rice, half a pound of treacle, that's the way the money
goes, pop goes the weasel, etc". It was I believe a victorian song that was
sung in the music halls of that time.
Weasel = hat
Pop = pawn
