If you have a John Lewis store near you, have a look in their needlework/craft 
dept. - I recently bought a new Daylight Studios lamp and a spare bulb for it 
there (I don't know if they have the bulbs, or anything like them, in the 
lighting dept. ).

Even in "never knowingly undersold" John Lewis, the bulbs are far from cheap 
but should last a long while as all energy saving bulbs have a longer lifespan 
than the old tungsten ones.
