Ooh, omnivorous? (see below). Actually lately I am beginning to feel quite the glutton.
Getting ready for summer I have definitely over spent on my craft budget, mainly on books. Don't tell anyone, just my classmates know. And now that I am struggling with thinking about trying to select one style to work on. I have almost, quite possibly, maybe, might have decided to work through the latter part of Pamela Nottingham's The Technique of Bobbin Lace. Then I will have a better idea of the route to take. With my current tape lace project I feel like I am forgetting all the Torchon stuff. It's funny though. With all the books I have acquired since taking up Bobbin Lace the one I am now drawn to is one of the ones I bought in 2006. Back when I only tatted. One thing I have learned from these discussions today is a really neat phrase. I have told people I am "going to weave a little lace," or sometimes "work some bobbin lace." But now I know. I am going to "throw some bobbins." Cool! While looking at Half Price Books (in Austin) for tatting books I did pick up three or four books on bobbin lace. . . . Though I am torn between Idrija and Bedfordshire, but I may just make another pillow and go back and forth. I feel fickle sometimes though. I remember how much in love with tatting I was (am) and now all I can think of is Bobbin Lace. Well with crafts I guess this is not too evil.
