That reminds me of a friend who made a beautiful piece of lace for a wedding present for her niece and framed it in a wonderful silver frame, the thank you note received from the bride said "thank you for the beautiful silver frame" the lace was not even mentioned, she is now wondering if they thought the lace came with the frame and perhaps have taken it out and put something in its place, she cannot wait until she next visits her niece to see if she can spot the frame around the house. The niece is not a lace maker and my friend wonders if she even recognised it as hand made lace.
