This description indeed tells better what the book is about. But Ulrike allways chooses titles with a ;-) "The beginning of the end" is in Dutch (so I suppose in het native tongue Greman too) a standard saying when somethig prosperous/sucsesful is showing the first signs of unavoidable decay.
