Agreed--the little discs I called emery (they were emery boards when I was 
growing up) are fine sandpaper, 2.25" diam. on a foam core, one side finer than 
the reverse.  Washable & can be disinfected.  Although there is wet/dry 
sandpaper out there, I'm not sure it comes that fine, but maybe you just throw 
it away.  Never say never to embroidery!  There are so many crossovers with 
lace, the line can get blurry in the middle.  Besides, any good idea, 
regardless of source, gets a page in my book!!  Sincerely, Susan Hottle in
