Take care everyone and if you have an accident with a tambour hook do not try to remove it yourself, you need to seek help from a medical expert.
You just reminded me of the time I got a very fine crochet hook in the back of my middle finger just below the nail but it went in almost down to the first joint!! That was of course at 2:00 A.M. and so I used sticky tape to tape the hook to my hand as I drove myself to Emergency. Yes it did indeed have to be cut out under local anaesthetic but first I had to draw a picture for the doctor who had no idea what I was talking about.
