David's story reminded me of when I got a 0.4 crochet hook in my tummy. I
was carrying my lace pillow and the hook was loose on the top. My friend
was taking a long time to check-in at a hotel, so I decided to sit down and
wait. When I got up I felt a prick in my lower stomach - I thought it was
probably a pin or divider pin. So I carefully carried my pillow up to the
room and then tried to investigate. I discovered that the hook had gone
through my skirt, slip, underwear and into me (not very far)
I managed to slide the clothing up the shaft of the hook far enough to see
what I was doing and managed to extract the hook myself (didn't really want
to go to the hospital in the US and have to pay for emergency treatment. It
didn't bleed very much, but did bruise somewhat, but there were no lasting
effects.
Malvary in Ottawa where it is raining (is that again or still). Got
rained on a few times during our first lawn bowls tournament of the season.
Got the prize for winning the 3rd game after losing the first two games.
