Thanks Norma for that tip about not useing Fray check on lace. I am glad I
didn't use it on my flowers, they took so long to make I would have been
very upset if one day they turned brown.
Lyn Bailey told me I can find Stiffy on the amazon.co.uk website. I had not
thought of looking there for such a thing, though I use that site for buying
books and DVDs etc.
Since writing to the list about Stiffy, I have seen on the web one or two
Spanish people's, non commercial, sites where they have created something
and then used Stiffy to stiffen the item but can't find out where in Spain
they may have bought Stiffy. I will have to e.mail one or two of those
people to ask I think as searching the web for it being sold in Spain
doesn't seem to bring up a haberdashery or craft type shop with it for sale.
¿I wonder if Carolina, a subscriber to Arachne, might know where Stiffy is
sold in Barcelona? Perhaps Caroline would contact me, off list, if she has
any idea or needs me to explain in Castellaño what Stiffy is.
Regards
Jenny DeAngelis

<<Jenny, please DON"T use Fray Check on your lace. It will eventually turn
it brown. It ruined a lovely tatted doily I had made.>>
