I have a Louise Colganâs Torchon wedding handkerchief edging in linen, and Barbara Corbetâs Flanders âChainâ handkerchief in 70/2 Egyptian cotton. For the linen Torchon, I am assuming handkerchief linen. Is that correct? I have two kinds, one is a couple of Irish linen handkerchiefs purchased for the purpose in Victoria, Canada, or handkerchief linen yardage purchased about 10 years ago. Obviously, anything used needs to be thoroughly washed and ironed.
But how about the handkerchief done in Egyptian cotton? For the interior cloth, should that be cotton? And if so, where in the US? Any mailorder sources from satisfied customers? I have no idea where to get cotton so fine. Anyone in Chesapeake Region Lace Guild know if G Street Fabrics would sell something like that? Anything available on 4th Street (Fabric Row) in Philadelphia? Any thoughts? Lyn in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA, where it has turned into a lovely day. 62F 15C When Iâm back from an errand, itâs on the deck, under an umbrella, to continue with Kumiko Nakazakiâs first folio Flanders XI, Classic. Iâm having a ball. Iâve got one inch done, at least. I can hardly stay away from it. - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
