Hi Lynn -
By trimming, Avital means removing as much as possible such as footers
and other information that isn't relevant to your response. It doesn't
mean you can't include URLs or the cognizant statement to which you are
responding!
And to those who are struggling with iPads... (yes, I said struggle!),
I have discovered if you put your finger on the first word you want to
trim, a circle will appear that allows you to position the cursor
precisely. Then you have a choice of actions, one of which is select.
Two dots will appear with one at the cursor, and you drag the second dot
to the end of the section you want to cut, and then select cut. This
works for copy and paste as well, I think (haven't used that yet).

On the other hand, it would be nice for those of us who get individual posts to
at least leave the website referred to. It is, I suggest, similarly annoying
to elongated posts for those on the digest, to have to go hunting through prior
emails to find the website referred to in the response.
