Dear Lyn

I have just got some of the packets of cake wire out to look at the label. It doesn't give details of what it is made of. It has details of the thickness of the 'wire' and is called 'florist wire' It says that it is made in China but distributed by Culpitt Ltd which is based in Northumberland UK. It comes in different thicknesses and I generally use 26 or 28 gauge which is probably about the thickness of 12 perle. I have tried to scratch off the white coating but it doesn't seem to want to come off. As it is used for cake decorating I presume that it must be non-toxic. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Maybe someone else can.

As for the rain yesterday, well it alsolutely poured during the afternoon but it is sunny this morning but with some clouds.
