Does anyone know the rationale for this requirement? lrb One rationale is that the By Laws require that the Annual General Meeting have 1/3 of the attendees at the convention present in order to have a quorum to vote on things. I think that the fear is that if you have a convention where people can come in and take a class on Mon-Tues, staying one night in a hotel, then leave, and others come in and do the same on Thurs-Fri, while some stay the entire week, you may not have enough people to satisfy the quorum requirement.
