Hi Jenny et all When demonstrating I get asked some strange questions, and will try to remember to write them down in future. Mostly, people whisper in the background to each other, and often it is: "that woman is doing tatting". To which I pipe up and say that I have no idea how to tat. The latter is true, though our group has a tatting workshop in January, so I won't be able to say that any longer. I found a few tidbits in some quite old Embroiderers' Guild newsletters that might amuse, to share 7. When I was giving a lecture, I wore an antique lace shawl. After commenting that it was at least 100 years old, one of the students asked, "Did you do the work yourself?" <unquote> LOL, I would have said "Yes, I was just 13 at the time" just to see if they really meant the question. Then again I am prone to answer stupid questions with non nonsensical answers. - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
