The only Clover silk I’ve seen is size 50 which is 32 w/m.

Hmmm, 40-45 w/cm sounds a bit fine.
They do a 90/2 silk gimp which is 30 w/cm
In theory 90/2 =60/3, and whilst I haven’t got any Piper 60/3 listed there is
50/3 - 21 w/cm and 80/3 - 28 w/cm
I would expect it to be more in the region of 25-30 w/cm
But reeled silk is a very obliging thread, it will squash down in tight corners
or spread out when it can. That makes it a good choice for laces like Idrija
and Milanese.

As I haven’t seen either Pipers 90/2 or Clover Quilter’s silk no 8 samples of
either would be very welcome.
My postal address is still the same as in the front of all editions of Threads
for Lace.
Anything which reaches me by the end of January should get included in Ed6.
