Brilliant as always and is it right of course. We know there are various lacemakers belonging to organisations for those who really enjoy learning every one of the rules and can make every stitch how it should be made. It is beautiful to see, but there are many of us out here who love making lace, and get and give pleasure out of all the little gifts we make for our friends and families most of us do our best but can not do more.
As always I love the humour in your poems and envy your gift for poetry.
Keep up the good work to all of us out there.

Will this do?

The world is full of rules and laws
Controlling all we do.
We must do this, we can't do that
Our freedoms are so few.

But when it comes to making lace
There's guidelines there, not laws.
We don't need fussy Lace Police
"You can't do that, because ."

So if you make your lace for joy
Just pleasure in the making
Then thumb your nose at Lace Police
It's not YOUR rules you're breaking.
