Don't worry Julie about mixing a table runner and a scarf - I made 2 table runners for the IOLI convention in Montreal some years ago, - and their dimensions were fairly narrow pieces. I have worn both as scarves - and one I even bunched up and wore it as a cap and short lappets!!!!!!!! (Beds lace has Lots of open spaces and legs/bars that are good to tie together with bits of narrow ribbon - without damaging the lace at all!!!)
I have put small doilies together and pinned them on a blouse as a jabot!! My lace is there to be used - however, and which-ever way I choose!!!!!!!
