It depends what sort of lace you are planning to make. If itâs Torchon then 12 wraps of the thread should fit between two foot-edge pinholes. If itâs a point ground itâs 10 wraps. The wraps should be close together but not overlapping. For Bedfordshire or any braid lace then itâs a combination of experience and experiment.
