Hello All! My “lace cave” moved recently & I was faced with larger, deeper drawers that are more difficult to subdivide. The Plano fishing boxes I use for metallics are expensive & not really conducive to separating various size spools of cotton, linen, silk & other fibers. What to do? As I opened my recycling bin to discard a plastic berry box, I stopped dead in my tracks! Was this a FREE (!!) & easy alternative to plastic boxes at The Container Store? Berry boxes come in several sizes, they’re stackable & there’s an unlimited supply because we eat berries every day. All I had to do was wash them out, although there is a gel sticky pad in the smallest that it is easily removed. I posted a photo to Arachne Flickr so you can see how it works. Smallest is raspberry/blackberry size, 6oz/170g. Medium is blueberry 1 US pint/551 ml & large is strawberry 1 US Lb/454g. Containers are clear plastic so you can see what’s inside. Hope this is helpful to others who want to ta! me their threads! Sincerely, Susan Hottle, FLA, USA
