Forums are walled gardens. They don't allow the free flow of ideas which a young project like laconica could benefit from. If you aren't interested in the topic of the forum thread, then you may not click on it. But sometimes ideas come from unexpected places. We need to see all the conversations, but we still need to organize the information for practical purposes. Mongo and I used our own laconica to communicate during the design process and it worked great. I think it would be easy to setup and try. If it doesn't work, no harm done.
