>You would legally and logically need to have CDI/GS information displayed
to fly below the GPS minimums to the ILS minimums, but becuase HITS
(highway in the sky) is so good, you would never want to be without this
"backup" display. I was disappointed to learn from Nate that this is no
longer being considered because he thinks the screen would be too
cluttered.<

For some flight director systems, the raw data CDI/glideslope is displayed
at the side and bottom of the PFD similar to a Bendix King HSI. In fact
the B-757 and 767 use a pointer at the very bottom of the display to
indicate LOC deviations and a single glide slope pointer on the right side
to display GS deviations. The B-575 is good to 300 RVR at several airports
here in the USA and there is no requirement on the B-757 to monitor the raw
GS/LOC screen other than what displayed on the ADI. If one of the pointers
goes away or a flag appears, you just lost raw data and should consider
some alternative action (go around) unless the field is in sight and a
stabalized approach can be accomplished.

I don't accept the premise that the addition of a simple CDI/GS deviation
needle would clutter the PFD.

I had a chance to spend some time at the Sierral booth while at Sun'n Fun.
I was very impressed with the presentation and general design of the panel
mounted displays . Brent Regan and crew really contributed lots to a fine
instrument.
