While installing SXCR b59 on my notebook (Toshiba with Intel I8xx video) I have been experiencing the following: - installation runs well from the DVD in graphical mode; - if I install Entire Group, first boot after installation enters the Configuring devices screen, suddenly blanks screen and hangs until I force power off. - if I install Core Group (thus text-mode only), first boot after installation goes ok. I have tried to boot the problematic installation with -kd and set moddebug to 80000000. Then the last message I can see is "Loading xsvc" before the screen goes blank. Thus I suspected that some video-related kernel module is causing the hang, but then why does the DVD boot into Xorg without problems? I'm clueless. Any ideas or suggestions? BTW, SXDR b55b behaves just the same.
