Hi guys,

am attempting an upgrade from snv_132 to 133.

Since I am running zones I have read that there is a bug with this as
I've already attempted running: pkg image-update which didn't work.

The bug report I read through claimed that I needed to be in single user
mode which is fine: run init s or shutdown -is -g0 -y or edit grub
config file on bootup. No probs ;-) .... one might think.

When I get to single user mode my notebook's screen flickers and the
text looks like wide spectrum noise or snow that is often observed on
analog TV screens when tuned to a channel.

What can I do in order to fix this??

Is it a frame buffer issue as my notebook has an Intel GM45MHD GFX
controller which the system is using the i915 driver for it.

Also an issue which may or may not be related is that I cannot reboot my
system! I need to specifically shut it down or the snv_132 environment
splash screen will not display the orange bar that runs from left to
right implying the kernel loading process. This really is a big
annoyance as I'm needing to hard power the system off each time I type
'reboot' at the cli.

Can anyone help??

Regards,

Kaya
