Hi Jurgen, not that I'm aware of... I think some of the commands are left over Sol10 commands as OSol doesn't use RC scripts anymore unlike it's predecessors. Anyhow I really just need to get to a tty screen which I'm getting to; but I need a functional one not one with a flickering garbled display as I even tried inputting commands blind into it which had no effect. I really don't know what to do?? On Linux I know that sometimes in the past especially with mobile ATI hardware the systems needed to be booted for install with the nofb command on the kernel line. But now with my system I'm reckoning that the system isn't setting some bios switches properly and doesn't like my 'hybrid' GFX setup either with both dedicated and dynamic memory. An example is the audio interface which when plugged in a jack for the headphone socket the internal speakers don't automatically cut out. Regards, Kaya
