I just realised I wasn't clear enough about the info I want and need.
I am on a slow but technically broadband connection and I would like to test my laptop with dapper. I also have download limits. What I need to know, therefore, if anyone here knows, what the size of the download for an apt-get dist-upgrade is so that I can work out if I and when I can do it without paying $1.00 per MB excess download charge. If the actula online upgrade is not as large as the iso, then I can take part, but if it is a full download then I can't
Without this information I can't really do it because I can't afford to pay the extra charges. It also will help me work out how long it will take.
If anyone can help with this information, or tell me where to get it, I wold appreciate it.
If no one can help, then I'll just sit quietlyon the list learning bits and pieces that have been and will continue to be useful to me.
Thanks
Bruce
