Our QA person got her machine into a state which is what you described, of files not getting into the zip archive. Maybe I had better try creating a new unique filename for the zip archive each time instead of trying to reuse the file, maybe the file I/O calls are getting screwed up with stale directory information cached someplace in the Java VM?

But I'm fairly sure the problem is in openlaszlo-4.0 (beta1) since the text file which coexisted with copy-of-hello.lzx was produced only in that webapp. I'll apply some more tests to pin it down. DL
