[corrected cc -> laszlo-dev]

Wouldn't this be a question for the deployer?

The simplest solution would be to get rid of the © symbol and use (C) instead. I'm sure that some step in the process is losing the encoding of the file and treating it as ASCII instead of Unicode, hence the glorp.

Something odd showed up on the build deployed on the server. The copyright symbol shows as ?? on the deployed version in the quick- index page. It shows as the copyright symbol in the installer versions (OS X and XP). It happens in the deployment of trunk and pagan. The linux build does it too (??), but it isn't really an installer version (just a tarball). See http://www.openlaszlo.org/lps4/ and http://labs.openlaszlo.org/trunk-nightly/.
