Oh, sorry, double posted this. Looks like Seb was faster. :-) I can only agree with him on the idea to contribute OpenLaszlo to the ASF. I don't believe Laszlo will be able to maintain OpenLaszlo in a way that it is a relevant HTML5 platform without growing support from companies and a stronger community.
I think that Adobe has a good chance that Flex will be an ASF project at some point. They already have a project in the incubator with PhoneGap/Callback, which is one of the more promising projects incubated by ASF: http://incubator.apache.org/projects/callback.html http://www.readwriteweb.com/mobile/2011/09/phonegap-applies-to-apache-sof.php On Thu, Nov 17, 2011 at 11:13 AM, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > Adobe has publicly announced that they are preparing Proposals for the > Apache Foundation: > http://blogs.adobe.com/flex/2011/11/your-questions-about-flex.html > > Quote:What specifically is Adobe proposing? > > We are preparing two proposals for incubating Flex SDK and BlazeDS at the > Apache Software Foundation. > > In the previous announcement they announced that they will use their own > Foundation.
