Hi,
When I compile my application for swf8 the png icons I have do not look
as crisp as they do when I compile it for swf7/6. I would just go with
swf7 but for some reason I loose the context menu which is crucial for
me so I am looking to make swf8 look as good as swf7/6. I read somewhere
that swf8 is the first version that can handle png and so I am thinking
that maybe laszlo does not trascode png when the compilation target is
swf8, leaving it to the flash runtime to do its magic. I am further
thinking (and this is just theoretical since I cannot substantiate it),
that the flash runtime does not handle png as well as it does swf, maybe
it does not apply the same anti aliasing stuff on png icons, maybe
something else I am not sure. I was wondering if anyone bumped into this
issue before and if there is a way to make swf8 handle png better or
maybe just somehow get the laszlo transcoded swfs and use them in swf8
(this can be a good workaround for me, it is just that I am not sure
these files are saved anywhere).
Any help/suggestion would be appreciated,
Ronen
