It is possible, and we do just that which is why it works in IE, however
Firefox seems to ignore the focus set in the parent html.  We've tried with
and without that extra code in the html page - no difference on firefox.

Just a thought, I don't know much at all about browser-side Javascript, but
is it possible to give the object an ID, and then use JS in the page to give
the flash applet focus, similar to how you can tell it to give a textfield
focus?
