Discussed this with Henning. Ideally we'd have the UI elements comparing to Ubuntu appear only when there actually is a link to an Ubuntu package.
Until we fix up and run the message-sharing migration script, sometime after deploying Recife, the Changed column may not show anything meaningful for upstream projects so it's not worth putting back yet.
