These babies didn't die of SID's, IMO.  Even the doctors and hospital
were pretty sure that something, or someone was killing them at the
time, but couldn't figure out what.  They kept a few of them in the
hospital for a month or more after they were born to protect them.

You were right, the times were different, and medical knowledge wasn't
what it is now.  Even the coroners office wasn't sure of what was going
on, and now the coroner is upset because she feels like she really
screwed up.

The mother signed a confession saying she smothered five of them, but
couldn't remember what happened to the rest of them.  She is no
recanting her confession.

The reason that they are looking into it now is because, "someone has to
stand up for the innocents that were killed" says the DA.  "And not
throw them away like yesterday's garbage."

This really is something.
