Not really. You just swap out the standard (normally KDE or Gnome2) desktop with something that is still very functional, and requires a fraction of the processing power and memory. eg: JWM (Joe's Window Manager). JWM looks like Win9x by default and runs super fast on a old system with the latest Ubuntu (base install + X11). -- Regards, - Graeme - _______________________________________________ fpGUI - a cross-platform Free Pascal GUI toolkit http://fpgui.sourceforge.net -- _______________________________________________ Lazarus mailing list [email protected] http://lists.lazarus.freepascal.org/mailman/listinfo/lazarus
