I disagree with that. This is (in my opinion) a rare case where building from
source is much easier than installing binaries. I've never had a moment's
difficulty building Lazarus on SuSE systems, and I've been doing it for some
years.
I'm intending to write a simple how-to as soon as I can find the time.
