I don't really know what more *proof* they could want. I guess you could also download teh source code and show them that each file references the GPL.

"When we speak of free software, we are referring to freedom, not
price." is mentioned in the GPL. This does not answer my question how to
prove that I didn't need to pay for lazarus.

For me it is, if I cannot sort it out with my company I will need to
remove Lazarus from my PC.
