Uwe
I have tried many times to install SUSE 10.1 and I had many difficulties. First I tried to update from SUSE 10.0 to SUSE 10.1 and the system was so slow (I mean hours: sudden apparent stops when loaen and configuring itself); so I had to give up updating and execute a complete installation with hd format.and even then I had difficulties. YAST seemed even to refuse to install FPC src! Yesterday at last anfter a third or fourth attempt of installation everything went fine even Lazarus and FPC snapshot dating 14/6. There's an Italian Linux distribution, based on Fedora Core 4, FoxLinux (http://www.foxlinux.org) has Lazarus as one of its languages for development. Unfortunately I yhing a strange conmputer with 3 HDs and 2 CDwriters and the firstst HD is seen as SDA1. and this distribution does not sem able to install GRUB neither on sda MBR nor giving to me the posibility to choose to install GRUB on a floppy. So unless they modify anaconda I will never be able to install fox linux.

Bye

Stefano
