I wonder if it wouldn't be done similar to the suggested ways of
changing the GtkLabel background color.  I did some Google'ing and for
a GtkLabel they seem to create a in-memory rc-style (something like
that). Apply the colors to the rc-style and apply the style to the
GtkLabel.

Take all this with a pinch of salt, as I have no idea how low level
Gtk works.  I only use the LCL. :-)


code is a bit hard to understand. There are several layers of
components on a TForm on gtk. There is a normal widget, then a
scrolling widget, then another widget to make the client area separate
from the menu, and then another thing...
