Maybe, but not with version 1.0.
This is exactly why Lazarus is open source and not commercial, and why
the developers are hesitant about things as foundations: not to fall
in this trap. 1.0 will be released when it's developers believe it is
ready; Not when there is some external deadline.
The developers have a pretty good idea of what 1.0 should look like in
terms of functionality and bugfree-ness. As soon as their goals are
fulfilled, 1.0 will be released.
It would be far better and wise to attract sponsors to fullfill this goal.
